Hey Kids & Parents! You
can also learn more about AWANA on the
AWANA website.
AWANA
is a fun and challenging experience, and we trust that
your children will enjoy the competitive relay games and
the lessons from God’s Word. The AWANA Club goal is to
reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to
train them to serve Him.
AWANA meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Check-in starts at 6:15 pm. In case of severe weather
and possible cancellation, tune in to our our website.
We hope this information answers some of your questions
and gets you acquainted with our program. To help your
child get the most out of Awana Club:
1. Help your child learn
at least one section per week
2. Show interest in your
child’s achievement
3. Communicate to us any
special needs
4. Help your child attend
AWANA consistently
Please feel free to visit
us at anytime. Call or email if you have any questions.

CLUB TIME
All AWANA Groups meet from 6:20 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday
night. Clubbers must check-in at the registration table
every week. Check-in begins at 6:15 pm to
record
attendance and accumulate Awana Bucks.
Clubbers are to be lined up for the Flag Ceremony
promptly at the 6:30 whistle. Please pick up your
children at 8:00 pm. Cubbies and Sparks will remain with
their leaders until you get them.
WHAT AWANA CLUB NIGHT INCLUDES
The evening is divided into 3 periods: game time,
handbook time during which they say the verses they have
learned, and council time when they gather for singing,
a Bible lesson and awards.

HANDBOOK POLICIES
Handbook sections must be done in order- do not skip
sections. The Sparks Green Jewels, however, can be done
in any order at any time. T&T silver and gold sections
may be skipped and done after completion of the regular
sections. Clubbers may say up to two sections at a time,
in order to allow an opportunity for all clubbers to say
sections. Unlimited additional sections can be completed
if time permits. No sections can be said during Council
Time. Sections must be word perfect with only two helps
per section. If unable to recite a section after two
helps, you may not say any more sections that night.
Practice!
DISCIPLINE
In order for clubbers to enjoy an orderly and
disciplined club, these two methods of calling for order
will be implemented:
-
5-COUNT - When
noise/lack of attention prevails with a group, the
leader will count loudly to five. By 5,everyone must
be silent and paying attention, including other
leaders!
-
3-COUNT - If an
individual has difficulty maintaining self control,
they will receive a l-count (this could occur if
they are not quiet after a 5-count). A 2-count for
continued unruliness may result in the clubber being
placed under a leader’s direct supervision. A
3-count will result in appropriate consequences and
contact with the clubber’s parents. This procedure
is for the benefit of the child (helping them to
learn self control) as well for the benefit of the
entire club.

AWANA BUCKS, AWANA
CREDIT CARDS AND THE AWANA SHED
Each clubber
will earn AWANA bucks which will be recorded onto a
credit card. Credit cards will be passed out on SHED
NIGHTS so the clubber can go to the shed. Clubbers must
be in uniform and have their dues paid to go to the
shed. Bucks will not be carried over to the next year.
The AWANA Shed will be open 4 times during the year. See
the AWANA Calendar for details.
EARNING AWANA BUCKS
Clubbers earn Bucks by:
-Weekly
attendance
-Paying
their dues
-Bringing
their handbook
-Being in
proper uniform
-Attending
Sunday School
-Bringing
a first-time visitor
-Participating in special theme night events
(Helmet Night, Tree Night, etc.)
ACHIEVEMENT & AWARDS
Entrance Test Booklet: The clubber’s first
achievement is passing the entrance test booklet, which
they receive the first night they attend club.
(Replacement booklets are $.25) Many clubbers finish
this in 3 – 4 weeks. Upon completion, the clubber is
given a membership card, is eligible to purchase and
wear the official uniform and the clubber is ready to
purchase the first handbook for his/her club. Ordering
the handbook a few weeks ahead of time is a good idea so
they can continue passing sections and earning
AWANA Bucks.
Handbook Achievements: Every handbook contains
four categories of achievements:
Each achievement is
recognized during Council Time, where the clubber is
given an award which is to be displayed on their Awana
uniform.
Completed
Handbook Awards: For the completion of each
handbook, clubbers are awarded ribbons, plaques or
trophies. The more handbooks completed, the bigger the
award. These awards are presented at the special
end-of-the-year award ceremony.
Memory Packets: Memory Packets are available for
clubbers who have completed all other books. These cards
have 60 numbered sides. 15 sides must be done at one
sitting. 3 sides = 1 section Clubbers are allowed 2
helps per 15 sides.
ATTENDANCE AWARDS
In each quarter one absence is allowed. Absences for
sickness, with a note or phone call from a parent, will
not cause disqualification for the attendance award that
is displayed on their uniform. Secretaries may award
perfect attendance at the end of the year.
SUNDAY SCHOOL AWARDS
Clubbers with regular attendance in any Sunday School
can receive 2 awards during the AWANA year.
