FCC Values

  • We value God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit as the only true God, who alone is worthy of our worship and devotion.

  • We value the real and active presence of the Holy Spirit as he manifests himself in our lives individually and as a corporate body.

  • We value God’s holy Word spoken to us through God’s prophets and apostles as it is faithfully recorded in the Bible, and we hold it to be our only ultimate rule of faith and practice.

  • We value prayer, especially corporate prayer, as the first work of God’s people.

  • We value cross-cultural missions and missionaries.

  • We value people over programs, relationships over rituals.

  • We value Scripture over experience, reason over experience, experience over tradition, and tradition over all the latest fads.

  • We value expository preaching that seeks to faithfully expound Scripture and apply it to everyday life.

  • We value organizational structures that enable us to conduct our business in an orderly fashion, even as we value entrepreneurial risk that seeks to avoid becoming bogged down in administrative inertia.

  • We value modern translations of the Bible that seek to faithfully communicate the message of the original Greek and Hebrew (and Aramaic) to modern men.

  • We value the ancient and classic hymns of the Church that have nourished God’s people over the centuries.

  • We value the new hymns and choruses that express in a more contemporary style the ongoing faith of God’s people.

  • We value all forms of Christian worship (from liturgical to charismatic) that genuinely lead worshippers to focus on God rather than themselves or other men.

  • We value new wineskins that enable God’s church to more effectively reach the lost and disciple the saved.

  • We value becoming all things to all people so that by all possible means we might save some.

  • We value our connection to the Southwestern District and the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

  • We value lay people doing the work of ministry rather than professional clergy.

  • We value other Christ-centered churches and denominations that do not necessarily see eye-to-eye with us on every point of doctrine or polity.

  • We value open dialog over matters of disagreement, but without losing our Christ-centered focus or our unity of mission and essential doctrines.

  • We value single people, regardless of whether they have never married, are widowed, or are divorced.

  • We value healthy, happy marriages that serve as a sign of Christ and his Bride, the Church.

  • We value families dedicated to raising godly children

  • We value youth and children as the future of Christ’s Church on earth.

  • We value our elderly as sources of wisdom and stability within our congregation.

  • We value the disabled.

  • We value sinners as people whom God loves, and for whom he sent his Son to die for their forgiveness.
